Customer Service Representative

Do you enjoy working with people? We are looking for a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to support communication between our clients and our medical staff. We need a friendly and professional individual with excellent communication skills that can multi-task.

CSR Duties

  • Communicate with clients to schedule appointments and perform call-backs.
  • Greet clients and ensure a smooth check in and check out process.
  • Process refills on medication.
  • Educate clients on preventatives.
  • Confirm appointment times with clients.
  • Inform staff of client arrivals.
  • Document communication with clients.
  • Ensure the front office area is stocked and clean.
  • Process client payments in person and over the phone.
  • Communicate with clients accurately about service costs.
  • Check patients in for hospital admission and surgery.
  • Ensure accuracy of client invoices and discounts

 

CSR Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in animal care or in a clinic preferred but will train the right individual.
  • Experience in customer service. Restaurant experience is a plus.
  • Able to work patiently with clients in varying emotional states.
  • A positive attitude.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

Veterinary Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated veterinary assistant to support our doctor in providing excellent care to our patients. Our ideal candidate is willing to learn new skills and develop them in the veterinary field. You must have a passion for customer service and caring for animals. You will be expected to think critically, follow through with the tasks you were given, and maintain a clean working environment.  Professionalism in the face of emotional clients and boisterous patients is required.

Veterinary Assistant Duties

  • Gentle and compassionate care of patients.
  • Assist in holding and restraining animals during exams and procedures.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments, equipment, and tools.
  • Ensure exam and treatment areas are stocked and sterilized.
  • Change animal bandages, bedding, and kennel materials.
  • Check in clients, take medical history, obtain patient vital signs.
  • Assist in collecting samples such as blood, feces, or urine for testing
  • Communicate with owners about surgery and recovery instructions.
  • Answer phones and make appointments as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Veterinary Assistant Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in animal care or in a clinic preferred but will train the right individual.
  • Experience in customer service.
  • Able to work patiently with clients in varying emotional states.
  • A positive attitude.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Basic understanding of animal behavior and health care
  • Passion for working with animals and their owners
  • Attention to detail in order to maintain accurate patient records
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods of time and to lift 40 lbs. unassisted
  • Enjoy a busy and active team environment. This is a physically challenging role.
