To help ensure your pet receives timely wellness care, vaccinations, and any required blood work for medication refills, our hospital schedules many appointments months in advance. These forward-booked appointments act as placeholders so your pet always has space reserved on a very full schedule.
Because these appointments are booked so far ahead, we understand that:
- Your plans may change
- The doctor’s schedule may shift
- You may not yet know what your schedule will look like on that date
To keep things running smoothly for everyone, we are updating our policy:
Policy for Forward-Booked Appointments
If a forward-booked appointment is not confirmed at least two weeks before the scheduled date, we will assume the appointment is no longer needed and it will be automatically canceled.
Why Are We Making This Change?
- To ensure all our patients have access to care
- To open unused appointment slots for other patients who are waiting

- To accommodate any adjustments to the doctor’s schedule
What You Can Expect
- You will receive multiple reminders by text/email/phone call leading up to the appointment
- You simply need to confirm when prompted
- If the date no longer works, we’re happy to reschedule or cancel—just let us know
- If we don’t receive confirmation, the appointment will be released
