Dr. Jessica Smith Kidd

Veterinarian

I am from Marietta Ohio, and knew I wanted to return home after completing my veterinary degree at St George’s University. Dr. David Spindler gave me that opportunity at Green Meadow Veterinary Hospital and was a great mentor. As time went on, I got married to my husband Joe, and our family grew. I have three beautiful daughters that keep me busy when I’m not working. We have a French bulldog, Courtney, three cats, Tilly, Figs, and Ding, and four goats, Daisy, Buttercup, Sophia, and Dory. I am licensed as a veterinarian in Ohio and West Virginia. I am a member of the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA), the West Virginia Veterinary Medical Association (WVVMA), and the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP). I am training for veterinary acupuncture. I am excited to be learning a new form of treatment for my patients to help with pain management, inflammation, respiratory, gastrointestinal, and other conditions. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Joe and I love music and take in several concerts each year. We also enjoy spending time camping in the summer.

Caytlin

Veterinary Nurse

My name is Caytlin and I have been in veterinary medicine for two years. I grew up on a farm and my mom worked at Green Meadow years ago. I always knew that I wanted to work in a veterinary clinic. I graduated from Bradford School in 2020 became a veterinary nurse in 2021. When I have time, I volunteer at the Athens County Humane Society. I love spending time with my family, our four dogs, and our cat. My favorite part of this job is helping clients understand their pets. Animals can’t speak for themselves, so I’m able to give them a voice. I love to solve problems and interact with clients to help them give their fur babies the best care possible.

Craig

Practice Manager

I have been in management most of my life but am fairly new to the veterinary world. I’ve since discovered it is not only an interesting and unceasingly fluctuating environment, but I get to witness fascinating medical procedures and rescues daily. The staff here is wonderful to work with; they are dedicated, well trained, and personally invested in every single animal that comes through the doors.

I am married with two sons, am an avid beekeeper and part time musician, and share our home with dogs, cats, lizards, fish, and a small flock of chickens. I enjoy spending time reading, practicing instruments, hiking, kayaking, playing chess, and, of course, spending time with my family.

Debbie

Bookkeeper

I began working at Green Meadow Veterinary Hospital during the spring of 1981 and my responsibilities have changed over the years. I am currently employed as the office bookkeeper, but my tenure allows me to be versatile and help out where I am needed. When I’m not working I enjoy cooking, and my co-workers enjoy the results of my time experimenting with recipes. I also enjoy collecting old cast iron items.

My family is important to me, and spending time with them is essential. My feathered and furry family welcome me home each day, including one bird, three dogs, and four cats.

I love my family – both real and extended. I love my pets, and most everyone else’s, too. I love my yard and the flowers there. I especially love to cook and bake. My duties are veterinary surgery assisting, x-rays, answering questions when I can, and answering phones when needed.

Kelsey

Receptionist

My name is Kelsey and I have been the front desk receptionist at Green Meadow since 2016. My role as a receptionist is very demanding, from answering phone calls, to scheduling appointments, answering questions and even sometimes assisting in the treatment of the pets when needed! I enjoy learning & cuddling clients fur babies.

Aside from work, I enjoy spending time with my significant other Korey & my pets, Trixie, Izzy, Nola, Blaze, Whiskey, Winnie & Chili Bean are all very spoiled!! I have 5 niece and nephews and I love spending as much time with them as I can. I also enjoy cooking, cleaning and the outdoors.
From a very young age animals have always been a part of my life, growing up on a dairy farm, being active in 4H & FFA really impacted me as a person & I wouldn’t be the person I am today without my parents & those organizations.

I hope your time with us at Green Meadow is always positive as we work hard to meet all of you & your pet’s needs.
